Just watched footage of Rob in the original Broadway production of "Jekyll & Hyde" and was practically blown away by it. I'd watched the Broadway production before with David Hasselhoff but this was something else. It was amazing how his performance just grabbed me, and in context with the two actresses playing Lucy and Emma.
This was stunning. Between this and Rob's demo for "In the land of the pig..." I seriously think at this point that Rob in this style could have been one of the perfect performers of Jim's music in the 21st century. Not taking away from Meat Loaf at all - I think both could put out amazing versions of WPOMBHTM - but I really think that. Was just stunned.
So I wish something could happen here with Rob too. I just see it how it would be so hard to do that though, because of all the hassle with Meat and BOOH originally. Why would Jim and co want to go through that again now? Why would anyone want to go through that again? But I wish this could happen.
Heck, I'd settle for a good CD of all Rob's demos, including "Left in the dark" and "Vaults of Heaven". Didn't he record those?
Anyway, omg...
