Matthew Bourne's Sleeping Beauty - he must have seen Tanz right?

Have just been lured to the ballet by my parents with the promise of a vampiric fairies. There is a touring production of Tchaikovsky's Sleeping Beauty going round the UK that has had so many elements of Tanz der Vampire added to it that I find it impossible to believe that it hasn't been directly influenced by it.

The fairies are basically vampires, there's a whole scene where Aurora is seduced by the son of the evil fairy Carabosse (who is basically Krolock) and he even hosts a masked ball where, if I understood correctly what was going on, our heros turn up in disguise to rescue Aurora.

Seriously, read the review!

and look at the pictures! (Google image search for Matthew Bourne Sleeping Beauty)
