| I think Bonnie Tyler. It seems like in reality she's a friendly, loyal, consistently solidly good performer and all-round decent and nice person. But her Steinman persona within their recordings together is that of some grand lioness who roars, fights and fucks, hunts and hurts. And I think she pulled that off really really well, and in fact, still does in live performances. None of the other female performers with Jim ever had that kind of distinct character image, or if they did, they either didn't do enough songs to cement it, or never really got their character across. So yeah, she gets "top female", because they're all great but she brings extra value beyond vocal quality. | |
