| Very interesting comment in Pat's interview, about Jim's music being connected. That's been my feeling as well, but just hadn't been able to really describe that properly. Thoughts? If you listen to BOOH, BFG, DR, "Making love out of nothing at all", "Total eclipse", "Hero", SOF, and so on... you get bits and pieces of music, going right back to "The Dream Engine" in 1969. The score for "Tanz" even covers the whole five musicals from the 70s, as well as music from "A small circle of friends". While I get that Jim evolved as an artist, it's more than that to me, because when I listen to OUVERTURE on "Tanz", I'm getting the riff from "Hymn to fire" played by Sundance at "The Dream Engine". | |
