Yep, I heard about the cruise thing through Wildhorn. I'm a huge fan of his work too. I'm also surprised to see that Rob is co-producing. I think that's brilliant.

According to the schedule, he'd still have Mondays and Tuesdays free to complete the recording. However, I just don't see that working with the demands of a Steinman / or Rinkoff production. Not to mention he'd want to spend time with his family and kids. So...

I don't know. Logically, it means he's free in 2008 and the album could then be released in 2008/09. UNLESS, the recording is finished and they need a distributor's deal? But surely if Ravenous is under Sony they would release it? It's all really confusing.

At the end of the day, I'm going to be blunt, I love Evan's interpretation of Jekyll & Hyde, the Broadway production and the Resurrection CD, and I LOVE - LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!! - his "Land Of The Pig". He was being true to himself, the great theatre singer he is, not the watered-down pop / rock singer who bores me. Still, based on what we've heard, I think it could have been / could still be a sensational album.
