I just found out that Jim had sent this over to be posted on here. It's been a while since I've been on so had to re-register.

I knew Jim liked the piece because he sent an amazingly praising reply, also saying that the album turned out so much better than he ever could have hoped when he and Meat started out to make it. I'm really happy that after so long he has seen a album of his songs made how he envisioned it.

Just on the "current music" line, I amended that line after sending it to JIm as i realised it was a bit far-reaching. The reference was to current chart music and music that is pushed to the front of the queue when it comes to attention. I have a massively diverse list of artists I like both past and present, but in general it is the same generic, soulless 3 minute stuff that is over promoted until it creates this wall of perfection that the unconventional has to struggle to break through. There are always the odd exception of course.
