I doubt my opinion will ever change now.

Heard it something like 16 times when it came out. I just got it. But my interpretation was completely different to the way Meat saw it, I think. I don't know about Jim. I haven't seen him comment about it in that way. But to me it was a reminder of mortality. It's weird. Meat and Jim are like some strange kind of relatives that you never see, but they've given you all this stuff, and sometimes you get to talk to them. And you're aware that it's been 20 years and life changes and people get older and that one day you're even going to lose your parents, and you'll lose Meat and Jim too, and this album "goes there" for me. It's not Bat 3. It's not Bat 2. It's not Dead ringer 2. It's sort of Beginnings & Conclusions. But it's Braver than we are.

The vocals don't bother me. I wouldn't want to hear 90s Meat Loaf sing these songs. And I am not in denial either. I may be crazy though haha.

Anyway, for personal reasons and then some, I doubt it will ever change. It was there for me in a very trying time in my life too. Couldn't thank them enough for that really, but if I tried to thank them for everything they've given to people over the years I'd be here for days.
