| Why doesn’t Jim Blog anymore? Nearly a year ago we were blessed when Jim started to blog, on top of that we were given recordings of demo’s that we had never even heard before. There was a buzz an excitement about this place probably one that was more than likely never witnessed before. How many of you used to constantly check the site to see if anything new was added? Be it an update on the blog or a new download. The Blogs and downloads were coming thick and fast. Don’t check your computer for a few days and a download could be posted and then removed. Here was Jim Steinman the guy we seem to all obsess in some way or another communicating with his biggest fans, some of you were mentioned in the blogs how much of a buzz did that give you? So why does Jim hardly blog anymore. Could it be that he is just too busy? He does have a lot on the go at the moment. I don’t buy this how along does it take to turn a computer on and write a few words? Could it be a more cynical reason? Is the reason he started to blog so much in the beginning purely just because of the release of Bat 3. Even though he was gagged from saying to much? Anyone with a bit of intelligence could read between the lines the man clearly wasn’t happy. This would explain why we had so many demo’s before bat was released how many have we had since? But my Favourite reason, Is it because of you the people of Rockman? Would you be so eager and keen to blog and provide demo’s to a bunch of people who in the name of free debate try to personally slaughter and ridicule each other at every possible opportunity. There is this big pissing culture on here where egos have a desire to rule. So who is the bigger fan is it the obsessed individual who has every single piece of work, posters all over the walls, Web sites full of information, an individual who stands out side the artist house in the middle of winter hoping for a glimpse, stalking his every move? Or is some one who gets up in the tranquillity of the morning where silence rules the world, slips in a CD and losses them self for that time and moment allowing the music to reach there inner sole? You see my friends of Rockman I believe it is because of us/you why Jim doesn’t blog so much anymore. Everyone on here is a fan of Jims work why else would you be here. But what do you crave the most? New demos, words by the great man himself? Most probably both. Do you not feel he would be a lot more inclined to do this if the posts were more constructive were actually about his work? and less of a personal nature where the goal is to ridicule each other. Maybe just maybe he will be more inclined to blog and provide us with more demos. Or there again I could just be talking bullocks as normal. | |
