| Oh one more thing, I'd change the bit at 3:06 in Alive where Meat repeats the first few line of the chorus that the Choir has just sung, it's stupid and I think it should justgo straight into Meat singing the line that comes AFTER the line the choir sings "As the end of teh world comes tumbling down...". This off-kilter, wrong number of bars thing recurs throughout the entire fucking album and it's sooo annoying. It's obviously one of Desmond's only arrangement tricks he brought to the table. "I want you to Cry Over Cry Over me!!" at 2:56 in Cry Over Me, and every second fucking line in the outro of Blind as a Bat. > For me, the far and away best track on the entire album in > every way (production, arrangement and ESPECIALLY Meat's > vocal performance) is ALIVE, hands down. > > To me, the album would be about a million per cent better > if they dropped the title track altogether and put Monstro > / Alive as the opening track, with the Spanish lines > dropped entiirely (what's the relevance there?!?) and > added some ambient motorbike grumbling at the beginning of > the organ intro. > > I mean, as long as it's trying to use the Bat name anyway, > it may as well put in a LITTLE fucking effort to have > earned it, right?
