The Protomen - Light Up The Night
What is this? It's a mini film that's the music video for a song, which is possibly the most 1980s thing since Kung Fury.
It's a super nerdy project, a band who make music telling their version of the story of the Megaman series of games. Who also happened to be collective fans of Streets Of Fire.
They employed the producer for Bad Attitude to record the album.
And what they came up with.... to me, it feels like the song "Nowhere Fast" got a sequel. And I mean Fire Inc!
But it's their own thing. It's a progression in their own direction rather than purely derivative. And they have their own fanbase who love them crazy amounts. :)
