Songs from Bat Out of Hell

In your opinion, best to "least best" song? (- there's no way any of those could be called "worst song" even in this context.)

I answered this on Facebook and, without looking now, I am wondering if my answers will be the same. Something tells me no since once you get past Bat and until Revved Up, the middle section is a close race!

Bat
FCOL
Two out of Three
Heaven Can Wait
Took The Words
Paradise
Revved Up

FCOL
Bat

Two out of Three
Heaven Can Wait
Paradise
Took The Words

Revved Up

(Gaps deliberate). For me, FCOL and Bat stand out, and Revved trails a bit (could do with a better arrangement).

I agree with Dave re: "the gaps"

Bat and FCOL are easily the two strongest. My two favourite songs FULL STOP.

Then:
Heaven Can Wait
Paradise
Took The Words
Two Out Of Three
(these four could alternate given depending on mood - more reflective then 2 out of 3 and Heaven Can Wait would be higher than the other two more upbeat then vice versa - as you say Jacqueline - close race!)

Then All Revved Up (but I do love this too and the ending is one of my favourite parts to sing along to)

1st Place, Tie. Bat & FCOL - If I was pressed for a number 1 from the record, I will switch on these two depending on my mood, the day. Have never skipped either of these when the come up in shuffles.

3rd. Paradise
4th. Took the words
5th. Two out of three
6th. All revved
7th. Hevean

My least favorite song from "Bat" is probably "Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad." It's not that it's a "bad" song by any means. I just can't readily identify with it. I've never been the dumper in relationships; I've only ever been the dumpee. So it's kind of hard for me to relate to it.

Choosing what's best and what's my favorite are two different questions for me. In terms of "best" it's a toss up between Bat and For Crying Out Loud. Both wonderful, but there like the Lord of the Rings films or Star Wars, epic in scale and feeling, so much I have to really be "prepared" to enjoy them fully. My favorite song off the record is Two Out of Three Ain't Bad, sung to perfection by Meat and matched by Dom and Danielle in the musical.
