> Any thoughts on the book? I got it yesterday and browsed a little. I'm going to read it after Christmas. It's my X-mas present for myself. :) It's 303 pages, 8 pages of pictures: photo of Jim & Meat 1981 ("The monster and his creator"), Bonnie ("In order to write Total Eclipse I had to envision a situation where Joan Sutherland is on a stage backed up by the Who and Phil Spector's group - and then I could go ahead") Who's Joan Sutherland?? The last chapter is entitled "Jim Steinman's dream" and the last photo is from the new Bat musical, so it's really up-to-date. Another chapter is entitled "Erections of the heart". :) Opened the book randomly, read a few lines from the page and laughed at Jim's quote circa 1981. About that period of creativity. "I was creatively constipated; not to imply this is the stuff you'd be constipated with" he said. "Constipated with gold..." Looking forward to reading the book soon. | |
