Me too. I’ll never forget hearing that incredible intro but I had no idea it would change my life. That wasn’t until I reached the end of the album.

I was thinking about this earlier. I’m a huge Elvis fan but he had been long dead before I was born. I never had that moment with him where he died and I listened to his music differently.

I was a moderate Bowie fan and cried listening to Ziggy Stardust after passed but he wasn’t as big an influence as Jim.

Jim’s going to be my first huge musical influence to pass on during my lifetime and it will be a bit strange listening to some songs. Songs like, “Rock and Roll Dreams” will take on a new meaning. Especially the line, “remember everything that I told you, you’re never alone cause you can put on the phones and let the drummer tell your heart what to do.” Now that he’s gone it really feels like Jim speaking to us from the great beyond and letting us know we’ll never be lonely as long as we always have his music. I never looked at it that way to before. It almost becomes a lullaby.
