Thank you for the information about Todd. Also, it’s strange but as heartbreaking as the Meat interview was, I feel like just hearing anything from Meat now is comforting in a way. Maybe because we still have his part of the magic. I don’t know really. I’m such a big fan of his as well. I hope he’s able to be ok.

It’s strange. I mentioned in another thread how as an Elvis fan the man himself had passed on before my birth. His music was always old to me, as in recorded a long time ago. When I first got into Meat and Jim, though, it had only been 23 years since Bat Out of Hell was released. Even then it felt incredibly fresh because it had only been a few years since Bat II and there was constant rumors of a potential Bat III.

Meat and Jim around that time period 20 years ago when I first discovered them would’ve both been in their 50’s. Meat was still consistently touring and releasing new albums. Jim was heavily involved in theatrical productions as the time. Where I’m going with this is, I never viewed them as old. Not then and not even now. It’s amazing for me to realize how many years have passed since I first starting listening to them. It makes me realize just how old I’ve gotten since being a teenager during that time period and how old those around me whom I admire have gotten as well. Sometimes you don’t think much about aging and before you know it, you’re elderly. Jim’s passing as really conjured up all different kinds of emotions in myself.
