Yes, I do think Jim has a very beautiful home in Connecticut. Back in late 2016, I seem to remember Jim inviting a journalist in his home to do a piece for the 40th anniversary of Bat Out of Hell (in fact, I think this may have been the last time Jim was publicly photographed). Several pictures were taken of Jim in his "bat cave", and Jim also commented that he built the house from the money he made from Bat II.

If you look at the photos on this website of Jim alone, some of the ones at the bottom are of Jim in his Bat Cave. The furniture and woodwork are very distinct, as well as the blue/teal walls in the hallways, all accented with gold figurines. I also remember all of this from some of the home videos Jim made and posted on FB several years ago.

If I were a millionaire, I would buy the house if it went up for sale and just leave everything as it is, in honor of Jim and his work. But, I'm fairly certain that won't happen no matter who gets the house. That's why I'm worried they'll just clear the house of what they consider just "junk", for the sole purpose of getting the house ready to sell. Sigh.
