It should have been a car-crash, IMO. That song ties back to two important moments on "Bat Out Of Hell": "Bat Out Of Hell" with the car-crash scene and "Paradise By The Dashboard Light" as they make-out in the car. It could have been a video of Steinman's iconic vision of that strange 50s Americana with love and death and rock 'n roll. *sigh*
I've never seen Michael Bay's film "Pearl Harbour" but I've heard nothing but bad things about it.
