> Where do you take all those songs from? Never heard of > half of them. Or did you just make them up? We've heard: Gotham City The Graveyard Shift The Land of the Pig Not Allowed to Love Wonderful Toys I need all the Love I can get We're Still the Children we once were The other ones: > God has Left the Building Not the version from "Dance Of The Vampires", it's an actual song that Jim wrote. It dates back to 1998. Here, I envisioned it as a Joker song > The Powers of Darkness This is a song Jim wrote for "The Final At Bat", extolling the virtues of the powers of darkness. Here, I envisioned it as another Joker song > In the Underbelly of the Beast This is listed as part of "Bat Out Of Hell 2100", the screenplay Steinman did in 1994. Here, I envisioned it as Bruce Wayne's nightmare / flashback sequence when he witnessed the death of his parents in Crime Alley. > Read my Apocalypse This was a song from the Broadway production of "Dance Of The Vampires", albeit a minor one that Krolock sings firstly to lure Sarah to the ball and then when the castle destructs toward the end of the show. Here, I envisioned it as part of a Joker ransom > Dark Night of the Soul This was the last song in Act One of Jim's Swedish musical "Garbo" (2002). I always thought it would have made an excellent "Batman" song. Here, I envisioned it as the finale act one as everyone in Gotham sings from different areas, sorta like "One Day More" in "Les Miserables". > You wear it well This is a song Jim wrote in 1999. Here, I envisioned it as a Catwoman and Joker duet. > I'd do anything for Love (But I won't do that) I envisioned it as being sung by Joker as he burns down Gotham City (which he never does in the musical, as far as I know.) | |
