I'm only going by what Meat said at the time. Maybe someone around him made a similar comment as you're making now? But London, Paris and New York are the greatest cities in the world, aren't they? Or at least Meat thought so enough to contemplate grand engagements there.
Actually to make it more special, I'd even say that Meat and Jim should have met for 3-5 nights in New York (where they first started promoting "Bat") with the piano / vocal arrangement and a possible orchestra. That would be better, IMO.
Either way, this tour is killing him and I don't see it as any kind of event. If Meat really wanted to make BAT III unique he should have done some big one-off show and that's it. The less you give the more mystery there is. It's like wishing you could see Holly Sherwood sing "Tonight Is What It Means To Be Young" LIVE or Rory Dodd live with Bonnie Tyler on "Total Eclipse Of The Heart".
