| Okay, I admit to having strange and varied tastes in music, so everyone can start from there with this thread. I recently replaced my copy of the score from The Crow. Now, I was never really in love with the soundtrack- Burn (The Cure), Slip Slide Melting (Love Not Lisa) and It Can't Rain All The Time (Jane Siberry) were about the only songs from it I really liked- I can take or leave most of NIN's stuff (except his instrumentals- A Warm Place does somethign funny to my heart- I love that piece)- but the score? HA! I frigging loved it. This is the actual debate about it though, as it came up between my beloved Sarah and I. Does anyone know whether Brandon Lee actually sang the snippet of "It Can't Rain All the Time" that Sarah (in the movie) plays off the vinyl album after Eric rescues her from getting hit by the car? I think it sounds like Brandon Lee from the timbre and tone, but Sarah says it was probably the composer for the score. Any ideas? (Side Note: This is definitely a cd worth owning, if you like instrumentals. Not sure whether Mr. Steinman still reads this forum or not, but I'd love to know if he owns it himself- if not I may have to find a fan mail address to mail him a copy.) | |
