Well, most people who say "if you like X you can't like Y" are jerks.
However.
It seems to be that people who rate Radiohead *very highly* think that Jim's music is... *beneath them* or something. Like it's not real music. ¬_¬
Which is how I personally feel about Radiohead. It's dead music, to me.
Strangely enough, though, the band Muse have shared a producer with Radiohead (AFAIK; I haven't really been paying attention), and a lot of people have said that Muse sound like a rip-off of Radiohead.
But the weird thing is... both Radiohead fans and Steinman fans are happy to be Muse fans. Just don't compare them to someone they don't like because they'll flat-out deny it...
