I really am in a bad mood. I don't like it when someone tells me that Broadway is not what Broadway is, after I've laid down my assertions for the sake of peace about who Jim is. The sake of peace is a good sake at all considerations, but peace with abuse by those who would take advantage of peace for their own visions of sugar plum fairies that bite, is something else. So, I'm in a bad mood. I have seen too many people go through too much in and near Broadway, for me not to know what Broadway is. I didn't get my information from books. I didn't hear it in someone's conversation in a random elevator. I am not interested in sitting blithely by while someone more comfortable in their skin than I am in mine, tells me that they know better when they don't. So what happens when I'm in the middle of this bad mood? Do you bring up this post? Now, what am I supposed to do with it?

I'll tell you what it means to me. You think that "Renegade Angel" is a song. You think it was a song that was written in a notebook that Jim lost someplace. You are looking for a song. You are wondering, was there really a notebook. Then Jim writes this blog entry. What he is quoted by you as having written is this:

"I am STILL going to finish RENEGADE ANGEL, as I'm only
> now realizing how to do it. It started with a boy losing
> his virginity and 'another angel got its wings'."

In the context of these words, and my experience, and my bad mood, I'm going to tell you what it says to me. First, "Renegade Angel" is not just a song, it is a whole musical. Second, yes there was a notebook. It was a cotton-strung black-covered composition notebook. I saw it when he and I were together one afternoon and I asked him about the notebook and he told me. That particular afternoon was when Jim did lose his virginity with me. And he characterized me as an angel.

Like it or hate it. That's what that blog entry reminds me of.
