Maybe the humour is strictly American > although Anchorman, Reno 911 and Super Troopers are > American and are comedy classics. I would hardly call "Anchorman" an American classic. It took me awhile to even look at the thing. When I did the only reason was because Will Ferrell is in it.....a long time ago he wouldn't remember we shared the same school and music teacher, told me he wanted to do comedy. I'm glad he wound up doing what he wanted, and he really is so good at it. I haven't seen him since childhood. The one thing I could remember about one of Will's films at this point is the promo for "Elf" which had posters up on every bus queue in Los Angeles....during the transit strike of 2004. I walked, past each of those kiosks, exhausted, and had his elfish pose to look at the entire five round-trip miles. The difference I think between American humor and European humor if such a thing is a valid comparison, is that Americans get off on the commentated absurdity, while the Europeans do not rely on comments but the more and mere fact of its absurdity. Bob: A lookup shows you wrote the pilot for AFHV? Did you select the videos? Great work with babies and animals. What is your favorite one of all of them that you recall? > > Will > > > I LOVED FARCE OF THE PENGUINS - - Actually i loved MARCH > > too - - but your's was hilarious...... | |
