Jim regards the spoken word as an integral part of his drama-plays, which he considers his words even when put to music. I would expect that there will be meaningful and dramatic placements of spoken word. Music carries the soul, and speech carries the mind, one could say.

"They" is Jim, and "they'll" is Jim's production. He will select the songs that fit his vision for the show. They will be undoubtedly selected for their dramatic placements and structural movement of the plot he has chosen to work with, which he has recently written and is no doubt continuing to write.
