One thing is, Jim is hugely intelligent, and I have been gifted with the ability to see what he means. It is not magical, it is just that we have some important shared life experiences, and he refers to those.
"Rock And Roll Dreams Come Through": "You want to shut away the pieces of a broken heart".....this is one derivative.
For now, I'll not go into that, but I have begun to work out some of the subtexts which are similar.
