| I'll try to give a bit of a review, as no-one else seems to be. Started with the new All Revved Up, which is good but it would be nice if Meat actually sang it instead of leaving it for "the girls". I was then shocked by how good he sounded on 'Paradise'; came out in a long '93-esque wig with his '93 tux/frilly shirt kit on. The song was good - Meat sounded great - and the banter at the end was pretty good (sometimes I think the banter can be rubbish, but this time was pretty good). Next was 'You Took The Words' which didn't sound too great imo. The body of the song has been trimmed down so much it barely exists anymore. Thankfully though they no longer drag out the outro like they used to do. Then followed 'Frying Pan' which was pretty good; Meat can still belt songs like this out, it's just the slower parts he struggles with. Every "fire!" was greeted with flames at the back of the stage, the heat from which we could feel about thirty yards back; it must have been f*cking hot on stage is all I can say. I didn't like the new start to AFL. I can't see the point in having the full motorbike intro and then jumping at "Some days it don't come easy..." It just didn't sound right, but it was possibly better than hearing Meat murder the first verse like he does on the MSO DVD. The rest of the song was great though, and really thought Aspen acted well at the end, looking genuinely shocked at Meat's final "I won't do that." My God, she's gorgeous. I don't think I've ever seen any girl look so hot. I digress... Objects then sounded great, but it just ain't the same without the second verse - not only the best verse in the song; the best verse in any song EVER. Disappointed by that but still a great performance. Next I think was Rock N Roll Dreams, which was also pretty good. Then I think came the break; 'Alive' was played over the tannoy while they showed loads of Meat's movie clips. I think this was just a break for Meat to go and have a dump or whatever. After the break they played the storm intro, with Mark playing piano over the top. Then the rest of the band joined in, and "the girls" sang the first few lines of STN, before the band burst into "Break It", a song which is now growing on me. I think I "get it" now, in my own way. Again, Meat did well on this, which surprised me, and then, I was truly shocked by his performance of Pigs, which was awesome. I didn't think he'd be able to pull it of, but WOW. The guitars and drums on this were great too - probably my favourite song of the night. Then I think it was a trimmed-down BFG which sounded pretty good, and "Blind as a Bat", a song Meat struggled with and a song which I'm gradually 'going off'. Then I think Marion came on for IACBTMN, which was good, despite her mic not being on for the first verse. Also, Randy played a great classical guitar intro to "IACB...", which was great. I think then it ended on 'Bat'. Meat might as well have sat down for this, as the crowd sang every note. Amazing feeling to hear c10,000 other people all singing the same song. I swear there were some people there who come along just for that one song. The encore was Black Betty (a song I don't like but which the band and Meat pulled off) and Gimme Shelter, a song I f*cking love and which they nailed, although I question the decision to have an encore containing no Meat songs. I was disappointed by the absense of "2/3", but that was my only real complaint. Great show - well worth the £50 or whatever (about $4,000 to all you yanks), imo. In conclusion I was very chuffed. I thought it was much better than the RAH gig and I was very pleasantly surprised by Meat's voice. The band were out of this world. And the front of Wembley Arena looks awesome (not that anyone will care), especially the fountain which you can control by pressing the buttons with your feet.
