But it could be, because the guitarist resembles Rory if Rory did not have any facial mustache or long hair. It is as you described, in 1984. And it is on a televised performance. It was also, as you described, on Youtube. But, it did not give you the result you sought. You sought a validation of your belief that Rory Dodd sang this performance live. Let's suppose for the moment that it is the clip you wanted me to see. Let us suppose that it is Rory Dodd holding the guitar, and let us suppose that it is not a lip synch of any of the people on the stage. What we are discussing is not a televised performance, but the actual making of the song. You did not view the clip of Jim and Bonnie that I gave to you? Tell me if you have or have not and tell me what you think of that. I went to the webpage you mentioned and extracted Rory's photo from there. I also went to Pudding's blog, and found a last minute add of an mp3 of a live performance, said not known when or where. This is the only clip that Pudding fails to know the source of. And I won't click the link because of Pudding's hostile nature towards me. But, it is an mp3, which is not a video. It is only an audio, so it would only be Bonnie singing, and whoever else, does not have a weight to bear upon who the recording credit for the vocal belongs to. The issue is not whether Rory could, or ever has, sung those lines, it is the lack of any sign or sound that he did so in the recording that we know as the wide release. If you would like to mince someone's sensibiliies for the sake of a point to make me look bad, bring it on. But you are being highly combative, stubborn, and lacking the basic understandings that postings on the board repeat over and over. Those are: recording credit=album/cd/single credits, not live performances. live performance credit=live performance personnel, as opposed to the recording. mp3=audio recording with no video mp4=video and audio recording. Using all of the universal logics that are available, you are, as we say in New York, "Busting My Balls". Here, to show you the level of good faith in my effort, I have included the image of Rory Dodd for you to gaze wonderously upon. All due respect to Rory, who is a fine vocalist with many accomplishments and a wide fan base amongst his peers and bandmates, it is clear that Rory did not sing "Turn Around" on "Total Eclipse Of The Heart". Jacob, you are free to state otherwise, but you are not correct in doing so. | |
