Thanks Pud! / Taylor Dayne's Original Sin / Waxing lyrical about the voice.

Groovy, thanks alot Pud! great stuff.

I really do like the rhythm in this version. The lyrics aren't as good tho. And her voice has a little TOO much personality for my liking, perhaps. Ellen Foley / Elaine Caswell / Meat Loaf are great examples, for me, of perfect intontation. They totally own songs but don't steam-roll the point of the piece (Meat can push his luck sometimes tho -- when he used to be able to hit the notes, anyway. His is a different kind of problem these days).

Rory and Kyle Gordon are too bland. Nothing going on.

And then the opposite end of the spectrum is Celine Dion and Taylor Dayne. Their voices are totally idiosyncratic and unique, but at the expense of the song at large.

I guess Bonnie sits in the middle somewhere near Meat Loaf as well...
