Only the desperate will look at an incorrect text to prove a faultfull point. http://youtube.com/watch?v=1Cs4YeCPm_o Rory does sing, but only as part of the ensemble without solo. The very definition of a lead vocal is as a solo. To be a lead in an ensemble, one must be either part of the leading ensemble, in which case there is no solo, or be one of the solo performers in an ensemble where there is a solo. In this instance, Sherwood is solo lead performer, and Dodd is not solo anything. And, if you really felt like it, you would easily hear that this voice is not represented in the lead of Jim's works. One more thing....Rory may have similarities in voice to Jim to the extent that kin would have similar voices to each other......this is definitely speculative, until and unless I recall a quote....but it is a speculation based on experience where Jim likes to draw upon members of his family for support, and that he has family from Canada. Even if Rory is not related, similarities do not equate to perceptual sameness. If you want to hear it, you will hear it. If you don't want to hear it, then again, your bias betrays the presented sincerity of your intentions. Go dance the time warp and leave Jim alone. | |
