Being that there are complex aspects of every persons life, and that this "Jim Steinman" phenomenon exists with two Jims in tow to each other's rhythms, there are many aspects of both nocturnal and daylight existences. I do not know to speak of the elder Jim, but I know to speak of the composer. Elder Jim has always been highly involved in the doings of the younger, and what the composer did for the music was to devise a way to put him into it as well. Elder Jim has been in numerous studio sessions and privy to many developmental issues enough that the "obsessions" referred to in the interviews are his. He could with accuracy and authority describe details of the themes of the songs, the events in the recording studios, and the relationship that those have to his obsessions, his desires for seeing what he envisions in the songs, such as where is the motorcycle Todd, but on that the weaving was done by another's hand in the compositions. So, Elder Jim cannot say anything of specifics. When lyrics address me, they are not by the suggestions or the desires of the elder Jim, they are those of the composer's, who sought to include me in the process, in absentia, as well, and as much as one or the other is either naturally nocturnal or conveniently nocturnal, is a matter of their choices between themselves. However, my Jim expresses a nocturnal proclivity in numerous ways, when he would choose a working schedule on a mid-night shift, or when he would be working on production during the night. However, during the day, there are choices to make, and others wills to conform to, and daylight hours do find their necessities creeping into the reality.

One may say something and make an expectation, but that does not always and necessarily coincide with an absolute and utter immovable reality.
