I am not bilingual, and I am not able to stand on my feet running around behind a counter the whole day or shift. One of my earliest job experiences was at Burger King. I worked at three different Burger Kings between the time I was eighteen and the time I was twenty. I also worked at an Orange Julius. Fast food places are highly demanding and only those in top physical condition can sustain that kind of work. The last time I worked at BK one of my toes became numb, one early sign of a heart condition, and when I left the job due to that and the fatigue, I did not try fast food again. Now, at my age, the heart condition has further manifested itself. I have however, applied for jobs at places like Coffee Bean, Pottery Barn, Bed Bath and Beyond, Limited Too, and others. I had a couple of jobs this year but neither one had any longevity to it, particular when the competitive office manager at the first decided she didn't want me around, and then the second was that it was not anything other than a one day thing anyway. I have an agency that sends me to a job interview a month. I call and call, and they say they have nothing for me, but a job interview per month, and they are the top agency in the country. | |
