| So here is the question the year is 1980/81 Jim Steinman and Meat Loaf are basking in the glory of the hugely successful Bat out of Hell album. But this is where things change? Meat doesn’t have issues with his voice there are no pressures from the record company and Jim and Meat get to work on a new album The issue is Jim has been very busy and he has enough songs for two albums (bad for good and dead ringer) The question is what songs would you use? What would the Album be called? How would this hypothetical album compare to Bat 1 & 2 Now for some controversy is the song Dead Ringer strong enough to get on the new album? Not in mine Oh yeah one final thing to remember the year is 1980/81 the CD hasn’t been invented yet and you can only get 8 songs on a vinyl album? My Choice Album name would be “Into the Fire” 1) Bad for good (including god speed) 2) I’m Going to love her for both of us 3) Lost boys and golden girls 4) More than you deserve 5) Out of the frying pan 6) Surf’s up 7) I’ll kill you if you don’t come back 8) Left in the dark (including spoken intro ending) | |
