Desmond's producing quality isn't quite up there with the other producers Meat has recently used. For example I find Peter Mokran's producing on CHSIB better. True that there are not as many strong songs on there but I think "Did I say That", CHSIB are much more memorable than let's say "If god could talk" / "Cry over me" and even some of the Steinman songs. And that whole Desmond arguing with Todd Rungren (who desperately wanted to change the title to "If God WOULD talk) is a fucking joke. It makes it clear to me Desmond is a stubborn bastard who didn't quite do what he should have done with Bat 3. Trying to get writing credits for almost each other Steinman song on Bat 3 has something to do with it imo.
Shame really as I can hear the potential on "Blind as a Bat" and "Alive" and Meat sounds really good on Bat3. In hindsight Des acting as a co-producer on Bat 3 would have been a MUCH better idea.
