Jim states very clearly in his public statements (don't need to believe me, just look it up) that he got a call from CBS from an exec who asked him to take on the project of producing Bonnie. Jim did not discover Bonnie, he cut a deal, as Bonnie was interested in doing an album and the label picked Jim to make it a success. For what I can lend to the story: Jim told me that he was given two deals for the price of one, take them both, leave them both. He could have a movie made of Neverland adapted to the Peter Pan theme, if he produced Bonnie's album. He wondered how it would look for his original Neverland (not Peter Pan based) to be fit to the Peter Pan story, and was intrigued by the movie possibility. And he saw a potential in Bonnie's project.

Unfortunately, he has put me into the lion's den for him.
