There's a back story to everything that Jim writes. I don't know the half of them. But the other half, I give it a try. What does it mean, Rock and Roll and Brew, Rock and Roll and Brew, You and me baby we know we got better things to do? I do operate on the assumption that I should be able to look at my own experiences and find his meaning. And, if you think I'm a loon, you think I'm a loon, and such is what such is. My family life, some of it, those that I do know slightly and those that I do not know at all, have these things. My dad is a rock and roller, and his descendants have created a large liquor concern which is famous. Rock and roll and brew.....The references to a parent in the song, "daddy" is sung by the girl in the song.
