| A local pub/restaurant holds Pub Quiz the first Wednesday of every month - teams get together and answer trivia questions on all sorts of topics. I started meeting up with a team a couple of months ago. We're not very good but it's a lot of fun :) Last night I went and one of the categories was Entertainment. I figured I could handle that (at least it would be easier than Science). I was feeling a little distracted when I suddenly had to snap back. The quizmaster was asking this question: "Jim Steinman wrote what song for Bonnie Tyler and Air Supply?" Well, I assured our little group that I was an expert on this subject and that the answer was Making Love Out of Nothing at All - I was also surprised to find one of the other women knew exactly who Jim was and helped confirm the answer. All was well. Until they gave the answers. They said it was Total Eclipse. I nearly protested (there was another question later that a couple of the others wanted to protest as well) but in the end we lost by more than two points so it didn't seem worth it. That and by the time it was over, I was tired and just wanted to get home and get warm. Just had to share :) | |
