Hi Jaqueline! Great way to get posters out of the woodwork. I wouldn't say I'm a lurker, but I'm an "irregular" poster. Answers below. > 1) About you: M, 41. Transplant from Central NJ to Orlando about 15 years ago. Married with cats and a dog. > 2) How you found Jim's music: I found it magical, thanks. I'd always loved Bat 1, but like many people didn't realize that it was Jim, not Meat who was the brillant one. It wasn't until buying the movie soundtrack (which I NEVER do) after seeing "Streets of Fire" because there were two songs I absolutely loved. When I realized that those two songs and only those two were written by Jim, I started doing research and realized that I loved everything I'd ever heard without giving proper credit. It was then I started on a quest for everything Steinman. I still remember the day I got Pandora's Box in the mail from the UK :) > 3) Have you ever met Jim (details): Yes, all to briefly. My sister and I drove into NY for the "Blizzard of 2006" and were fortunate enough that not only the Joe's Pub concert wasn't cancelled, but that Jim made it. I did get to say "hello" and thank him for all the enjoyment. > 4) Favorite song: Depends on my mood. Tonight is What it Means to Be Young, Paradise (still funny the 1000th time), Faster than the Speed of Night. I still listen to Bat 1 more than any other album I own. > 5) Your other interests: Tournament Bridge, Harness Racing, gambling in general. > 6) Bbook you're currently reading: Embarrassed to say that I'm reading a book my wife bought debating whether Snape is a good guy or a bad guy. I'm always also in the middle of several bridge books. More details available at www.raphaelson.net > > > > | |
