1) About you: My name is Jacinta or Cindy. Born in Geelong Victoria, I now live in Perth Western Australia and work for an Canadian Engineering firm as an Industrial Electrical Designer. I am also a student at SAE Perth. 2) How you found Jim's music: As rank as this sound but at a karaoke...(O.k. I'll hang myself later) A guy got up and sang 'Bat Out of Hell' very convincingly even the backing track wasn't too bad. We got talking about it and I went out in search of the album. I googled Jim's name and stumbled apon this website. It wasn't until I joined the board that I realised how expansive Jim's work is and has been, so I have been hooked & lurking ever since. 3) Have you ever met Jim (details): Alas...no... but that would be so awesome. To those that already have I am green with envy. If I complete my course successfully then maybe I might have a chance as I'm aiming my studies in Audio Engineering to theatre production and movie sound. If I never get to meet Jim in person, it would be an absolute dream come true just to work with a sound crew on one of his shows. Just working with his 'children' would be an honour. 4) Favorite song: I listen to so many different styles of music and songs it is hard to just pick one at the moment, but when things get too much and i need to 'time out' I always put on a Jim CD no matter what it is. What ever I lay my hand on first....lol 5) Your other interests: Cycling, Singing, Vampire movies - new and old, Mixing music, Vegetable gardening (when I can). Watching surgery proceedures. (yeah o.k a bit sick but it facinates me...lol) 6) Book you're currently reading: Anything to do with music production. Mixing magazine and equipment catalogues mostly but of course the odd technical manual and live and studio sound mixing publications. | |
