A recent example of Jim's work which may come close to what you are referring to is sung by Jim as a baritone tenor, however I think it could be adapted to a higher tenor as well. "(Vespers)Angel's Arise/Graveyard Shift": "Graveyard Shift" is an aria in English and is, to my ears, very Wagnerian. I daresay that Jim keeps his most Wagnerian works under wraps but venture to think he has some. He and Barry Keating worked on an adaptation of Wagner's Ring specifically Rhinegold, adapted from Das Reingold, in 1971-1972.
