Ray has said he never allows composers to contribute lyrically and he doesn't touch a note of music. He said only once did Jim ask his opinion about a bit of Music in Milady. He asked if he should go for the higher note or leave it in a more accessible register and Ray said he offered his opinion to leave the high note for them to reach for. As for Kunze... he stole a huge amount of Jim's lyrics and Jim apparently didn't ask for credit. However Kunze apparently demanded credit for inspiring DOTV lyrics. I have heard from several people that Jim and Keating don't see anything wrong with "borrowing" from others liberally and don't seem to mind if others do it to them usually. | |
