Well yeah, but its dubious to try and analyse "influence" as a clearly definable or universal thing in any context. Influence can be concious and subconcious, active and passive, positive and negative. When it boild down to it, if you've heard, tasted, seen, smelt or felt it thsan it has influenced you in some way. And so the best you can do is try and talk in general terms with like minded people, with unspoken understandngs as to what is meant by having been influenced by something or someone.
