Having never heard any of the recordings of / from / pertaining to WDTW (with the obvious exceptions of Meat's Kiss and No Matter What, Scarpia's Kiss, Boyzone's NMW, and samples of some other bits and pieces I've heard over time), I didn't know what I was missing in this great song!! Bonnie Tyler's Tire Tracks, absolutely unbelievable! Fantastic production! Great vocals! That Sax!! And most of all, great music by ALW!! I kind of had an inkling that the music in this show was unbeliavably good, based mainly on the fact that the three tunes from this show Meat did with Jim are hands down amongst the best work he's ever done. But I'm completely blown away by this recording, I can't rate it highly enough! Considering the lyrics from WDTW are absolutely breathtaking, and the music is the best stuff I've ever heard from ALW, part of me would love to see jim and ALW work together again. But at this stage, that'd just be slowing down everything else that's meant to be happening. Are the others performances on the concept recording as good as A Kiss and Tire Tracks? Because Jim didn't produce all of them did he... | |
