Windoze? Right-click the desktop, choose "properties" from the popup menu, click on the "Settings" tab, choose the "Screen Resolution" that exactly matches the number of pixels horizontally and vertically on the monitor, click on "Apply" then, if that works and everything is clear, click on "OK" to save.
