That's why he's credited as sole lyricist in all of the German versions, I guess. But it was originally done in English so Steinman could "follow on". That's where the confusion stems from. Did Steinman create any of the English lyrics? Or was it all Kunze? And if it's all Kunze, how come Steinman gets the credit of Music&Lyrics on Broadway when many of those lyrics drawn upon the original English ones (presumably by Kunze?) And if it's the other way around, how come Jim doesn't get an additional lyrics credit on the German production? Probably because it would confuse people into believing he contributed to the German lyrics? | |
