| So as there seems to be some nice order on the board I’ve been thinking about one or two things regarding the title of songs and could they have a double meaning and if so would the song work? For example: Dead ringer; an exact double, spitting image or could it from the 17th century where people were afraid to be buried alive or in some case mistakenly pronounced dead so a hole was drilled into a coffin and string attached to the hand of the deceased and then to a bell above the ground if they later became revived they could ring the bell and anyone who heard the noise could rescue them from a certain doom. Picture it, a strange lonely figure walking through the grave yard, its midnight a full moon is in the night sky. A bell start to ring he franticly digs up a fresh grave and rescue a beautiful maiden he looks her in the eyes and sings I don't know anything about you baby, but you're everything I'm dreaming of I don't know who you are but you're a real dead ringer for love A real dead ringer for love. You may well shake you head in disbelief but just think abut it. It would fit in totally with Jims Gothic overtones? | |
