| In my opinion dance remixes of songs, including Steinman's, can work. Pud recently posted a remix of No Matter What on his blog, and I thought it was quite good, despite a gross misinterpretation of the lyrics. It is important to choose the correct song though, and do it justice. Alas, this is not the case with the remix you posted. Not only is the song wholly inappropriate, it has been awfully manipulated and sounds terrible - exactly why I don't usually listen to dance music. However, take a quality song, a quality singer, and someone who can remix properly, and you can get reasonable results. | |
