What I understand is that there have been reports here and there of other recording studios, so I don't know where came the idea/information that Power Station/Avatar is a favorite. If I missed a quote, please point me to it?
As for my own hearing of Jim Cypherd's tales, and this I do know, he owned with some partners a recording studio in Los Angeles called Sound Arts, and he also had been much involved with the management and also did work recording and engineering at other studios, one of which is the studio where Batsinyourbelfry3 was recorded, but under a different name...and which I know a guy named Ace (I think Frehley) used to own at one point a long time ago. Jim Cypherd has discussed with me the fact that he has DESIGNED recording studios, and so whether or not he has a particular favorite in Power Station/Avatar is something I lack info on. But when I visited their website, they did seem to be rather impressive to me.
