When I heard the Catwoman thing, I didn't think it sounded like there even was a guitarist. It sounded like a computerized guitar sound. My personal guess, is that there are very few musical instruments on any of the Batman demos, probably just computers and piano.

It's not fair to compare the Batman demos to albums like Bat2 or PB, because that's a high-budget album vs. a barebones songwriter demo. Same thing with Wuthering Heights, that was not an elaborate effort and should not be compared to the big stuff.

I heard that the *bad* demo of Pig, the first one that got shared around, was Kasim Sultan singing, Paul Crook playing guitar, and Michael Beinhorn producing. That would have been from the early "Bat 3" sessions, before Desmond Child descended upon it. But the thing is, there are lots of recordings of Kasim Sultan singing, and he sounds a lot better than that demo. So I believe the Paul Crook part and the Beinhorn part, but not the Kasim Sultan part. My personal guess is that Paul Crook sings that demo, because he's not a professional singer and it doesn't sound like it could be a professional session singer. I recall Jim said in his blog that, more or less, he and his people had nothing to do with that demo.
