Doesn't sound very encouraging to me. I actually found Jim's recently released through internet Vespers - GraveYard Shift one of his best works ever, so who knows what he has up his sleeve. I agree with your statements that TDE doesn't sound very promising, but then almost everybody has been saying that for about a year now.
