I totally disagree on that one. In fact, IMO the choice of the Steinman songs on Bat3 could hardly have been worse.
- They chose break it instead of only when I feel (d'oh)
- They made the worst possible song out of one of Jim's greatest (speaking of Angels Arise and Cry to Heaven)
- They chose some old stuff Meat must have turned down various times because he knew (back then) it wouldnt suit his voice or the album (speaking of bad for good and the future)
- They totally ruined a great song with a crappy and boriung production (Seize the Night) (OK, thats rather a point against my statement, as the song itself would be very good for a booh album)
The only Steinman song that really came out well, and feels totally right for the album is pigs.
they made all these decisions with all the great unreleased Steinman stuff in the back, like What part of my body, etc. (ignoring all the legal stuff for a moment here)
