| Thanks for posting on your first faire, Lord! The Shire filly I had about 6 yrs ago had a marvellous black father who appeared several times at the Des Moines, Iowa Renaissance Faire. Everyone rode the heavy boy and were blown away by the 18 hand stallion's gentleness. They rode him in the josts! My nephew was very active in the faire all through college at Ames--made his own chainmailAnd yes, alot of pagans are drawn to the event as well. So glad you went, saw, enjoyed and shared. I too envision most Steinmites that same over the top, jovial spirit. The dedication many regulars at the faires have is nothing short of Trekkie devoutees or the Civil War reinactors--a real obsession. Thanks again!
